The Social Justice Director and Representatives are committed to actively defending and promoting issues of social justice in the law. The officers provide students with a broad range of experiences that give a real world perspective on the legal issues most affecting the wider community. The main roles of this portfolio are:
- to promote work experience opportunities relating to social justice and the law; and
- to run events and services which raise awareness about social justice and the law.

Social Justice Work Experience Opportunities
The Law Careers Guide for 2011 will include a greater amount of material on non-commercial opportunities. In particular, Social Justice has worked to include information on a range of human rights and international internship opportunities through publishing a greater number of student articles and through the addition of a substantive directory. New opportunities will be posted as they arise throughout the year
