Trial Advocacy

Recommended for second years and above, though knowledge of the Law of Evidence makes it much easier for you and the judge!

Trial Advocacy (or Witness Examination) is a simulated civil or criminal trial. The trial is run from the opening statements, through to the examination of witnesses and to the closing addresses. It involves quick thinking, and cross examination. Most Trial Advocacy competitions run with two barristers (Senior and Junior Counsel) & one non-competitive witness for each side.
