The Open moot is an opportunity to act as a real solicitor, where competitors are questioned by judges to see how well they know the facts and the cases surrounding a particular point of law. Mooting is generally run in teams of two (Senior and Junior Counsel) pitted against each other, but is judged individually with competitors ranked from 1-4.
