JusticeNet SA was established in 2009 to help manage, and develop, the growing commitment to pro bono assistance in the South Australian legal profession. Unfortunately, many Australians face significant obstacles in secur…ing access to justice.

JusticNet aims to help individuals and charitable not-for-profit organisations gain access to justice with a network of firms and barristers who provide their services on a voluntary basis.

JusticeNet offers volunteer opportunities to those who are still studying, or have recently graduated, with an interest in pro bono and public interest law. Placements are also available as part of the Law School’s Clinical Legal Education program.

The College of Law, the largest provider of practical legal training in Australasia, will be joining us for an on-campus information session on the 14th September. The College of Law offers Practical Legal Training (PLT) as an alternative admission process to the South Australian GDLP system.

Lipman Karas is offering up to 20 placements over the course of 2010. Applications close on Friday, 9 April, with first round interviews being conducted in late April 2010 and second round interviews  shortly thereafter.

The firm offers clerkships at mutually convenient times throughout the year and in particular during summer and winter university holidays.
