All Adelaide Law Students are invited to get involved in the organising of the 2010 Conference of the Australian Law Students’ Association (ALSA)Â Conference, to be held in Adelaide next July. The Conference is to be hosted jointly by the University of Adelaide, Flinders University and UniSA. Representatives of all three law schools have elected Heath McCallum to the position of Conference Convenor, a huge task!
Heath is currently the Vice-President (Careers and Education) of the Flinders University Law Students’ Association (FLSA) and has been to many ALSA Conferences during his involvement with FLSA. He is currently looking for students from all three South Australian law schools to nominate for positions on his committee to ensure that all three universities really do play a part in hosting this huge event.

Dear Students
Nominations are now open for the organising committee for the Australian Law Students’ Association Conference 2010 to be held in Adelaide next July. The conference is a huge week-long event with over 550 national and international law students attending to compete in the national competitions finals, huge social events, educational forums, day trips, and the ALSA committee AGM and Council. Positions are available for all types of students and vary from a an hour or so a week to executive positions needing about 10 hours per week.
The conference committee is separate from ALSA and AULSS and is incorporated for the sole purpose of organising the conference. More positions will become available at a later date so keep your eyes out if you’re interested in other areas or a lower commitment role.

Nominations are now open and will close on Friday August 14 at 5pm. Please email your completed nomination forms and any relevant documentation to conference.nominations@gmail.com.
Please find attached the nomination form and a description of the positions open for nomination. Please note if you have spoken to the committee before but have not been formally appointed, you will need to nominate via this process.

Question & Answer Session
A question and answer session will be run on Friday 7 August, 11-12 noon in Room 228, Ligertwood Building especially for Adelaide Law Students. This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet Heath in an informal environment and find out more about the conference and what he’s looking for in his team
